On Oct 10, 2015, Brainware School of Management proudly hosted a Seminar on “The Role of Technology and Management in Emerging Business”. The chief speaker, Mr. Santanu Sengupta, Managing Director, Britannia Engineering Ltd. Westingshouse Saxby Farmer Ltd. (W.B. Govt. undertaking), glorified the occasion with his presence.
The head of the Department of Management gave the opening speech, and introduced the speaker to the audience. How new technologies and management techniques are constantly changing the business scenario of the present time, was the central issue of the day. Mr. Sengupta elaborated on the multifarious ways in which technology impacts the various areas of the economy, and how smart, systematic and modern management processes are much needed in the highly evolved world today. The multi-dimensional picture of improved management and technology, complementing each other at work, in the developing nations clearly indicated that a healthy combination of the two will certainly foster employment in India.

SDET-Brainware Group of Institutions aspires to provide a holistic development of the student’s mind, and soul, in its endeavour to create better and more responsible youth. With its unwavering commitment to the alarming environmental issues, the Departments of Mechanical Engineering & Civil organised a seminar on “HARVEST RAIN WATER SAVE THE FUTURE, on September 16,2015 at the seminar hall of the management building.
The occasion was graced by the kind presences of Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar Dutta- College Principal, Prof. Bimal Chaudhuri, Director – Project, and Prof.(Dr.) S.Goswami, Director – Research & Innovation. The seminar commenced with the welcome address delivered by Principal Sir. It was followed by speeches made by the respected Chairperson and the Programme Coordinator. The guest speakers for the day, Er. A.Haldar and Er. S.K.Nag spoke earnestly on the need to conserve rain water so as to continue enjoying free supply of water in the upcoming years. They elaborated on how rainwater harvesting has evolved as a popular feasible process across countries around the globe in the recent times. Its multiple exciting benefits-prevention of groundwater depletion being one of the foremost, and the various harvesting methods were also discussed.
The overwhelming words uttered by the esteemed speakers enlightened the listeners. The questions posed by the enthusiastic students towards the closure of the seminar certainly reflected their increased consciousness. The seminar ended with a joint pledge to improve the health of our environment.

A seminar on ‘Advanced Embedded System’, organised by the Electrical department, is scheduled to be held tomorrow, i.e. on 30th January, Saturday, at the seminar hall, MBA Building (Room No.: 007, Ground Floor ).
The seminar will commence at 2:30 P.M. Mr. Krishnendu Dutta (DATA CONTROL SYSTEM, Embeded System & Robotics), the guest speaker for the day, will glorify the occasion. Dr. S K Chatterjee, Executive Director, BGI, will make the welcome address.
The 3rd and the 4th year students of the EE & the ECE departments are cordially invited to make the seminar successful.
