The primary objective of any students throughout his or her educational career is to ultimately prepare themselves for employment as they look to etch out their space in society. In this age of rapid development and rampant modernization the students need to be on top their game if they are to leave a mark on this world ensuring themselves a respectable and profitable livelihood.

In such a situation training and hands-on experience becomes essential as they endeavor to get acquainted with the real world outside of the protected walls of academia. Brainware Group of institutions has an elaborate programme of Industry-Academia Interface aimed specifically at training the students and to give them an exposure of how the real life industry operates. In keeping up with this tradition, the Computer Science & Engineering Department has organized a 48 hour Industrial Job Orientation Programme on ‘Cross Platform Mobile Application (Hybrid Mobile Application)’ for the 2nd and 3rd year B.Tech students at the college premises on 26-29 June and July 7, 14, 21, 28, 2018 from 10 o’clock onwards. The programme is aimed at making the students aware of the recent trends that are in vogue in the industry nowadays and also to educate and train them in its viles, making them ready for the challenge ahead of them as they look to sustain themselves and survive in the open world.


Beat Plastic Pollution-NSS Campaign

Brainware Group of Institutions in collaboration with Millennium Institute of Energy and Management organized an NSS campaign, ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’ at its Barasat campus on 19th of June, 2018. The session was initiated by the honorable Principal of BGI with a welcome speech, enlightening the audience on the pragramme. Attended by several eminent speakers and faculty members of the engineering college the function was an informative one where everyone was enriched with the ill-effects of plastic and the urgent need to stop plastic pollution.

Defeat Depression

Brainware Group of Institutions organized a seminar on ‘Defeat Depression’ on 23rd of June 2018 at its Barasat campus. Not only academic excellence and personality development, Brainware offers equal emphasis to a balanced life and an overall wellbeing of both the students and the teaching staff. The guest speaker of the session was Ms. Navnita Bose, the psychological counsellor of BGI enlightened the attendants with stress management skills and techniques. It was indeed an informative and interactive event.

Quality Initiative Programme

A noble initiative was undertaken by the several departments of the Engineering College whereby the faculty members gave presentations on the various emerging trends in Science and Engineering. The seminar included numerous demonstrations and speeches encompassing diverse topics and issues on recent scientific innovations. It was an enriching programme where the speakers shared their knowledge and helped to widen the horizons of the audience. The session was an interactive and illuminating one.

Highlight of the month

Industry-Academia Realtionship Programme

The Electrical Engineering Department of the Brainware Group of Institutions had organized a seminar on the topic ‘Internet of Things in the Power Industry’ on the 29th of June 2018 at the college campus. Presentrd by Mr. Shaktipada Ghosh, Additional General Manager, NTPC, the seminar brought to light the recent trends in the power industry like applications of Artificial Intelligence, Data Science in power industry and what exactly the future holds for IOT.

In another endeavor under the same heading, the Electronic and Communication Engineering Department of Brainware Group of Institutions organized a seminar on the 27th of June 2018 at the college campus. Presented by Mita Chakraborty, Managing Director, MSR IT Solutions Pvt. Ltd., the presentation stressed on application development, product based solutions, infrastructure management service, near-site and on-site development, business analysis, Proof of Concept(POC) and other IT services.
